Delivering true Yorkshire service, Molly’s offers a selection of breakfasts, sandwiches and cakes. They also have an affordable afternoon tea at £24.95 for two – a fraction of the price of afternoon tea at Betty’s (£18.95pp).

We recently visited Molly’s tearoom for lunch. We were greeted with a warm welcome and quickly seated after a short wait. The atmosphere was bustling as the café was completely full – it felt like we had discovered a true hidden gem!

We ordered a bacon, brie & cranberry toastie and a ham & cheese quiche with a jacket potato. Both delicious, homemade and served with salad.

Dotted around the room, on display, there were multiple homemade cakes that looked too good to resist. We had a delicious banoffee pie and a lovely red velvet cake.

For two mains, two coffees and two cakes we paid £20 which I think is excellent value for money.

The service was great and the staff were willing to go out of their way to meet our needs. Nothing was too much to ask. We will certainly be returning to try their wonderful looking afternoon tea!
